WSC volleyball up one spot to 18th in this week’s 25 coaches poll

The Wayne State College volleyball team earned a one spot promotion to 18th in this week’s AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Division II Top 25 Coaches’ Poll released Monday afternoon. The 8-2 Wildcats have been ranked in the last 102 regular season national coaches’ poll dating back to September 28, 2009 and received 383 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches from across the country.

Last week, Wayne State posted a 3-2 road win at Sioux Falls followed by a 3-2 home loss to #7 Southwest Minnesota State. The Wildcats play three matches this week, starting Tuesday night at Augustana starting at 6 p.m. WSC will then host #3 Concordia-St. Paul Friday at 6 p.m. and Minnesota State Saturday in a 1 p.m. contest.
