Boston man fatally shot in Brocton
BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man from Boston who was seated in a car in a parking lot in Brockton.
Authorities say Quentin Phillips, from Boston’s neighborhood of Mattapan, was shot early Saturday in the parking lot behind Crescent Street.
Brockton police say officers received a call from a local hospital at about 2:21 a.m. reporting a man who was shot in the chest. He died a short time later.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation revealed that friends took the victim to hospital after he was shot.
Investigators ask anyone with information to contact them.
Authorities did not release additional information, including circumstances that triggered the shooting and whether investigators have identified any suspects.
