John Daugherty, Realtors agents make holiday season brighter for Child Advocates

December 23, 2018

John Daugherty, Realtors agents filled up vans full of toys and clothes for Child Advocates Santa’s Wish List program. Since the 1980s, agents have “adopted” children and fulfilled their wish lists for Santa.

A special John Daugherty, Realtors wish book is created that contains information about each child and their secret Christmas desires. Each child’s wishes are represented on a page in this special wish book, and agents can flip through it to pick out which child they wish to sponsor.

Many agents choose two or three children, but Chairman and CEO John Daugherty always takes on more than that. The fun begins when agents take a copy of the child’s wish list and begin their Christmas shopping. Anything from bikes to dolls and clothes are collected, making each child’s Christmas dreams come true.

This year, agents collected toys and donations for 60 children, which filled the John Daugherty, Realtors’ Operations Department storeroom until delivery day. Mysterious boxes of deliveries arrived with the items such as warm clothes, books, bikes and play kitchen sets.

On delivery day, John Daugherty, Realtors vans are loaded with all of the items and sent to be wrapped and delivered to children. Agents make sure every child is provided for, and their generosity goes a long way in making Christmas special for those in need.
