High-rise living and embracing the outdoors
So, you love the outdoors, but is living in a city-centric luxury condo location going to keep you from enjoying the fresh air, green spaces and parks?
The answer is no.
Houston condo developers have taken their residents love for the outdoors as seriously as they take providing sumptuous living spaces with fabulous amenities.
From downtown to the Uptown, high-rise residents can embrace a wide variety of outdoor spaces to relax, exercise or just walk the dogs.
At 2929 Weslayan, residents can find a 30,000-square-foot, eighth-floor outdoor living space complete with fireplace and unobstructed downtown views.
There is also a 60-seat skyline lounge, grotto pool, wet deck with resort-style cabanas, master grilling stations, and raised fire pit with 360-degree seating.
Residents at The River Oaks can partake in an outdoor chef’s kitchen and landscaping evoking a spa-like atmosphere.
One of Houston’s first buildings, The Sophie, offers expansive blending of indoor and outdoor living experiences with summer kitchens, fireplaces, and entertaining space. The location also provides access to some Houston’s greatest outdoor features.
Mike Reddell, executive vice president of sales at Sudhoff, said the location is ideal because of its proximity to Memorial Park and Buffalo Bayou Park.
“This allows homeowners to enjoy cycling in the wooded bike trials, fishing in the newly created lake, golf, nature trails and the incredible new ‘land bridge’ over Memorial Drive,” he said.
The Sophie continues to aim to provide even more for its residents.
“Homeowners at The Sophie will soon be able to enjoy their new home with covered outdoor terraces equipped with outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and built-in doggie doors to allow their pet access to the terrace as well,” Reddell said.
The Royalton at River Oaks on Allen Parkway also provides easy access to Buffalo Bayou Park and Memorial Park. Residents can enjoy a state-of-the-art, restricted off-leash pet area, an updated serenity sculpture garden and luxury resort-style pool area.
The Houstonian Estates, with a 3.5-acre setting, feels like you’re not even in a city. In addition to manicured gardens, thre are tennis courts, wooded pathways, commercial-grade grills, outdoor fire pit, leash-free pet zone, a heated swimming pool with jacuzzi, and stainless-steel chef’s island.
Bringing the outdoor experiences to residents is what makes a resident feel like their living experience can be complete.
“Living in a condominium with proximity to large green spaces allows condo owners to truly have it all,” said Reddell. “These homeowners enjoy lock-and-leave convenience that only condos can provide, but also access to outdoor spaces without having to maintain them either.”
