DALLAS (AP) _ FoxMeyer Corp., the nation’s third-largest pharmaceutical distributor, announced plans to eliminate several hundred jobs from its workforce through layoffs and attrition.
FoxMeyer, based in Carrollton, Texas employs about 3,000 workers nationwide.
The downsizing will cut across all levels of the company, senior vice president Larry Pilon said Wednesday.
FoxMeyer reported profits of $2.74 million, or about 10 cents a share, for the quarter ended June 30 - a 57 percent drop from the same period last year.
