Mia’s Table coming to Shenandoah on Sept. 24
Lovers of all foods fast-casual and Southern are about to be able to get their fix in Shenandoah.
Mia’s Table, the Johnny Carrabba-owned counter-service mainstay is set to open at 18450 Interstate 45 South on Sept. 24.
“This area needed some good food and we’re excited to bring it to them,” said Shenandoah Manager Collin Gauvey.
The Shenandoah location will be the first Mia’s Table outside of the Inner Loop. The original, at Kirby Drive and West Alabama Street in River Oaks, opened in 2012 and is beloved for Texas favorites like nachos, corn dogs, chicken fried steak and Blue Bell Ice Cream milkshakes.
The new restaurant — the only one of its kind in Carrabba’s expansive portfolio — will bring the original’s menu and ambience to the far north Houston area.
“Shenandoah is growing and our team fell in love with the community,” said Carrabba’s Marketing Director Loren Allardyce.
Following the opening of the Kirby Drive and Voss Road Carrabba’s restaurants in the 1980s, Carrabba envisioned expanding the chain’s reach across Houston, Allardyce said.
Throughout the 2000s, the restauranteur opened Mia’s Table, named after his daughter, and Grace’s — a full-service comfort food restaurant down the street from the one that started it all.
“Mia’s Table brings a diversity of ages and groups, including families and corporate groups and everything in between,” Allardyce said. - it’s a wonderful blend of the great city of Houston - something for everyone.”
The Shenandoah restaurant is the first phase of multi-restaurant expansion for Mia’s Table in the Houston suburbs. A location on Bay Area Boulevard and I-45 in Clear Lake is projected to open in January 2019 and a Katy location at the Grand Parkway and Interstate 10 is set to open in April.
