Grandmother needs help replacing balding tires

December 19, 2018

A 56-year-old Santa Fe woman says she lives on a fixed income and has no money left over to buy new tires or pay for repairs to her 10-year-old car, let alone Christmas presents for her three grandsons.

She says a technician told her that two of the tires on the vehicle are so bald that there is a risk of blow-outs if she drives on the highway.

She is asking for help getting her car into better condition.

She is among hundreds of people seeking help from the Empty Stocking Fund this season.
