Bulls Trade Voskuhl to Suns
CHICAGO (AP) _ The Chicago Bulls traded center Jake Voskuhl to the Phoenix Suns on Monday in exchange for a second-round draft pick in 2003.
For salary cap reasons, the Suns also traded center Soumalia Samake, who was then waived by Chicago.
Voskuhl, a second-round pick in 2000, spent most of his rookie year on the injured list. He appeared in just 16 games, averaging 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds. He scored a season-high six points and grabbed five rebounds last Dec. 5 against Minnesota.
He played in three preseason games this year, averaging 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds.
Samake was traded to the Suns from the New Jersey Nets in July as part of the Stephon Marbury-Jason Kidd trade. Samake played in 34 games last year, averaging 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds.
