First retailer opens its doors at Lake Woodlands Crossing

Total Wine & More officially became the first retailer to open its doors at Lake Woodlands Crossing on Thursday, Sept. 20. The new 60,261-square-foot shopping center is under development in The Woodlands Town Center at 1900 Lake Woodlands Drive at the northeast intersection of Grogan’s Mill Road.

The Woodlands Total Wine & More occupies 25,000 square feet of retail space in the new center. The liquor superstore chain offers a selection of 8,000 wines, 3,000 spirits and 2,500 beers along with mixers, bar accessories and gift items. The Woodlands store will have a climate-controlled wine room for rare selections and a walk-in humidor for fine cigars, as well as a space for private tastings, consumer education classes, community meetings and special events. The new location is the 10th store in the Greater Houston Area.

Ulta Beauty, REACH Stretch Studios, Beaux Toes, Main Squeeze Juice Company and Stickhouse will also be opening soon at Lake Woodlands Crossing. Completion of the retail center is scheduled for later this year.

Southern Marsh to debut first brick and mortar location

Southern Marsh, originally known for its Southern culture-inspired t-shirts, is opening its first location at Market Street - The Woodlands on Satruday, Sept. 29 between Tumi and Maggie’s. Southern Marsh apparel has been available online and through hundreds of partner retail stores across the country. The Market Street location will be the company’s first brick and mortar location.

The Baton Rouge-based company features full collections for women, men and youth including pants, outerwear, sleepwear, sweaters, jerseys, dress shirts, polos and swimwear. Dallas company purchases office building on Research Forest

Jeff Beard, CCIM, president of The J. Beard Real Estate Company, has facilitated the recent sale and acquisition of an office building located at 2700 Research Forest, which was purchased by SJBC Commercial XIX, LLC., from Dallas-based Novel Office Systems/Soft-Tech SM.

The property consists of a large single-story building totaling 74,940 square feet of contemporary office space on an 8-acre, natural woodland campus. The property is 100 percent leased by eight tenants and is located at Research Forest Drive and New Trails Road in The Woodlands. The J. Beard Real Estate Company, LP will handle the leasing and property management of the building.
