Caged Girl’s Mother Makes a Deal
CHILTON, Wis. (AP) _ A mother accused of allowing her 7-year-old daughter to be kept in a dog cage and of abusing of three other children has reached a plea agreement, a prosecutor said today.
``The jury trial is off and there is going to be a plea hearing at 3 p.m. (today),″ Calumet County District Attorney Ken Kratz said this morning. No other details were released.
Angeline Rogers, 28, is charged with 10 felony counts on accusations she did nothing to prevent her husband from putting the girl in the cage and she physically and emotionally abused four of her five children at their former home in Brillion.
Mrs. Rogers attorney, Jim Skyberg, did not immediately return a telephone message.
