Longtime Scranton Neighborhood Association Leader Dies

SCRANTON — A former city public works director and longtime Hill Neighborhood Association leader has died. Edmund “Eddie” P. Pisano, 79, died Monday after a lengthy illness. Pisano helped found the association in 1977, and led many neighborhood improvement projects. In 1986, he became director of the city’s public works department, a position he held for about three and a half years.
