Memorial Day Offers for Military 2019

Each year during the Memorial Day weekend, many restaurants and retailers show appreciation by offering free and discounted meals and promotions to current and retired U.S. military.

Following is a list of offers for Memorial Day 2019.

My great thanks to all who have served (including my father) and to those who are currently serving in the U.S. military.

As more offers are announced, we will continue to update the list.

Dine with a Veteran, Active Duty Service Member or Gold Star Family on Monday, May 27 and their lunch or dinner is free. The free entree is equal to or less than the purchased entree. Military ID required. See the details on their website.

All veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a complimentary meal with a drink purchase on Monday, May 27. The offer is valid for dine-in only.

According to their website, “Current and former U.S. military members can enjoy a free entrée from Hooters Memorial Day Menu by presenting a valid military ID at participating Hooters locations nationwide. Military personnel can select a variety of free meals from the Hooters Memorial Day Menu, including: 10-Piece Traditional Wings, 10-Piece Smoked Wings, 10-Piece Boneless Wings, Buffalo Chicken Salad, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Hooters Burger.” See all the details on their website.

Outback Steakhouse is offering a 20% discount from 5/23 through 5/27/2019 to servicemen and women, police officers, firefighters and first responders with state or federal service ID, plus Military Personnel and their immediate family members who have one of the allowed forms of ID. All veterans and active military get a free sandwich, salad, or Pick-Your-Pair when they buy one, Sunday and Monday 5/26-5/27. Just show ID to redeem the offer.

Texas Steakhouse & Saloon offers a 10% discount to active duty and retired military with ID. See the details on their website.

10% off on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2019, for active or retired military personnel. Present your military ID and MVP card at checkout. The discount is before taxes. See store for exclusions. Valid at participating locations. According to their website, “To receive the discount, active military, veterans and their families should present their personal MVP card and military I.D. at checkout and request the discount. On Monday,May 27, Gabe’s is offering military members 10% off with a valid military ID. According to their e-mail, “All active duty service members and veterans receive a 10% discount offer valid Memorial Day and every Tuesday.”

Military and Veterans get a 20% off discount on regular priced items on May 26 and 27th. Restrictions apply. See store for details.

A.C. Moore offers military personnel 15% off your total sale and regular price purchase every day.

Michaels craft store is offering a 25% off coupon for military with ID . The coupon is located in the Michaels ad in most Sunday papers on May 26, 2019.

Active and retired military and family members can enjoy free admission. The offers vary for active and retires military. See all the details on their website.

On May 25 - 27 King’s Dominion amusement park is offering FREE park admission to any active or retired United States military personnel with a valid military I.D. Their family members can purchase tickets online for $39.50. See the details on their website.

From May 23-27, Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tires locations nationwide will offer active and retired military FREE car care checks and 10 percent off of Goodyear Tires. This discount can be used in conjunction with up to $275 in tire-related rebates. Military members can book their appointment at www.JustTires.com/military and www.GoodyearAutoService.com/military. As long as qualifying guests make their appointment by May 27, they can take advantage of this deal through June 13. For the first 2,000 free car care checks scheduled, they’ll make a donation up to $10,000 to military support organization, Honor and Remember.

Dunkin’ is selling Star Spangled Donuts this year during Memorial Day. Plus, through Monday, .25¢ from each premium donut or $3 from each dozen sold of the Star-Spangled Donut will go to care for the men, women and families who bravely serve our country through USO of North Carolina! This offer is available at participating stores surrounding Fort Bragg & Fayetteville, NC.

According to their press release: “Ace Hardware is once again collaborating with the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. (VFW) to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Ace Hardware is pledging to give out 1 million American flags nationwide on Saturday, May 25. Consumers are encouraged to visit participating Ace stores to receive a free 8” x 12” American flag* on May 25, while a second flag is donated to a local VFW Post to be used for marking and honoring veteran graves this Memorial Day. Flags will be available in participating Ace stores, while quantities last. In-store only. Limit one 8” x 12” flag per customer. No purchase necessary.” See the details on their website.

On Monday, May 27, Garner is having a Memorial Day Observance from 1:30 - 2:30 pm. The event takes place at the Garner Veterans Memorial at Lake Benson at 921 Buffaloe Rd, Garner, North Carolina 27529. Guided tours of the Garner Veterans Memorial will be conducted before the event and after its conclusion. See the details on their Facebook page.
