Medical examiner: Drownings caused death of 2 men pulled from rivers

Drownings caused the deaths of two men who were pulled from rivers in and near Pittsburgh this year, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner.

The manner of death for Kareem W. Sabree, 31, and David R. Stayduhar, 38, of Millvale, was listed as undetermined by the medical examiner.

Sabree’s body was pulled out of the Monongahela River on May 5 underneath the 10th Street Bridge in Pittsburgh. Investigators did not say where Sabree lives. City police are investigating.

Stayduhar’s body was pulled out of the Allegheny River in Shaler near Bridge Street on July 16 after a fisherman spotted it. County police are investigating.
