Milford cops arrest 2 after ‘equipment violations’ stops

MILFORD - Police arrested two people Monday after stopping vehicles they were in for “equipment violations.”

The first stop happened at 4:30 a.m. on I-95 between Exits 36 and 37.

An investigation led to the arrest of Brandy Milone, 29, of Oak Street in Waterbury. Milone, who was a passenger in the vehicle, gave police the false name of “Paula Johnson.”

She was accused to be in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, glass smoking pipes, hypodermic needles and a Taser device. Further investigation showed Milone had an active warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court stemming from a prostitution arrest on June 19 in Southington.

Milone was release after posting a $1,000 bond and will appear in court on Feb. 5.

The second stop happened at 11:45 a.m. on the Boston Post Road, near Orange Avenue.

Irbahim Adetona, 20, of Glen Place in Bridgeport, was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misue of a plate, having no insurance and, not having a driver’s license.

Police also leared that Adetona had three active arrest warrants, accusing him of violating his court-set probation. He was held on $45,000 bond.
