Treasury Prices Are Mixed

NEW YORK (AP) _ Treasury bond prices were mixed at midday Monday.
The price of the Treasury’s 10-year note was down 3/32 point, or $0.938 per $1,000 in face value, around midday Monday, while its yield rose to 4.33 percent from 4.32 percent late Friday. Prices and yields move in opposite directions.
The 30-year bonds were up 1/16 point and yielded 5.08 percent, down from 5.09 percent late Friday, according to Moneyline Telerate.
Two-year Treasury notes yielded 2.24 percent, down from 2.25 percent late Friday.
Yields on one-month Treasury bills rose to 1.68 percent as the discount rose 0.02 percentage point to 1.65 percent. Yields on three-month Treasury bills rose to 1.65 percent as the discount rose 0.04 percentage point to 1.63 percent. Six-month yields rose to 1.67 percent as the discount rose 0.03 percentage point to 1.63 percent.
Yields are the interest bonds pay by maturity, while the discount is the interest at which they are sold.
