Suspect sought in Fifth Third robbery

MICHIGAN CITY — Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed Fifth Third Bank in Michigan City.

And they want the public’s help.

According to a Michigan City Police Department report, on Wednesday at approximately 1:48 p.m., a male subject entered Fifth Third Bank, 2604 Franklin St., Michigan City, and announced his intent to rob the place. He demanded money from a teller and fled with an undetermined amount of currency. According to police, no one was physically hurt during the event.

Subject is described as a black male approximately 5-foot 7-inches, 140 to 150 pounds, thin build, wearing dark clothing.
