Beatrice “Bea” Camp, 85, of Kankakee, passed away Saturday (Sept. 1, 2018) at Miller Healthcare Center in Kankakee.
She was born Jan. 6, 1933, in Paynesville, Minn., the daughter of Samuel and Mamie (Carlock) Jenkinson. Bea married Duane Camp July 22, 1951, in Paynesville, Minn. He preceded her in death Dec. 5, 2015.
Bea worked for the U.S. Post Office for 18 years before retiring in 1995. She was a devoted member of Asbury United Methodist Church and loved bowling and golfing in her spare time.
Surviving are one daughter, Denise Camp, of Kankakee; four sons, Dennis Camp, of St. Anne, Brent (Alice) Camp, of Texas, Brian (Dawn) Camp, of Bradley, and Brad Camp, of Bourbonnais; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by parents; her sister, Opal Wesemann; her brother, Charles; and stepfather, William West.
Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Schreffler Funeral Homes, Kankakee Chapel. The Rev. Charles Lowman will officiate.
