Washington School Holds Workshop on Engineering

May 13, 2019

Washington Elementary School in Lowell recently hosted Jay Mankita of Playful Engineers for an all-day visit. Mankita spent the day teaching students about engineering. In the hands-on, STEM-focused workshops, participants designed, built, tested and played with Rube Goldberg “machines,” plus domino constructions, exploding Popsicle-stick snakes, and other awesome engineering explorations. They also had an opportunity that evening to bring their parents back in to share in the wonder of the Playful Engineer workshop. Above: Mankita demonstrates an experiment.
