Maine woman gets 10 years for cocaine trafficking
LEWISTON, Maine (AP) — A Lewiston, Maine, woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on cocaine trafficking charges.
Police say 27-year-old Tanya Cahill was sentenced Friday, after pleading guilty.
Police say Cahill and a man were arrested in August on the Maine Turnpike near Gray with $25,000 worth of crack cocaine in a vehicle.
The Sun Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1aIK7Ql ) that police say the pair was bringing the drugs from Boston to Lewiston.
Court officials considered Cahill’s criminal history, which includes convictions for burglaries and numerous assaults, when imposing the sentence.
