PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) _ No. 7 Rutgers used a pressing defense to force 19 turnovers in the second half as the Scarlet Knights routed St. Joseph's 80-38 Thursday night.

Leading 30-23 at the half, Rutgers went on a 13-0 run during the first six minutes of the second half. St. Joseph's had just 15 second-half points.

Five players scored in double figures for Rutgers (7-1), with Davalyn Cunningham leading the way with 14. Kourtney Walton and Mauri Horton each had 11 and Karlita Washington and Tasha Pointer added 10 apiece.

Susan Moran scored 17 of her game-high 25 points in the first half for St. Joseph's (4-5).

Rutgers went on a 9-0 run after St. Joseph's scored the opening basket and built a 23-11 lead as Cunningham made a foul-line jumper. She was followed with a layup on which she was fouled, and she converted for the three-point play.
