Watching a Deer Being Born Was Amazing
The soft ring from my alarm clock was enough to get my old bones to wake for the the chance to chase a wild turkey.
I had driven last weekend to a friend’s 300-acre house in upstate New York last weekend for our annual get together. The four of us would take up positions in various spots after we had roosted gobblers the night before.
The area is just full of birds and the nice part is his land is bordered by 1,000 acres of state land so there are plenty of places to hunt and locate the wily gobbler.
Like in Massachusetts, you are allowed just two birds, but just one bird day and hunting hours are one half hour before sunrise to noon.
