Hornets Waive Cyrus, Hancock

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ The Charlotte Hornets on Monday trimmed their roster by waiving forwards Caswell Cyrus and Darrin Hancock.

Hancock, who was originally drafted by the Hornets and played two seasons with them before a three-year stint in the CBA, has played in one exhibition game. He had just one rebound in three minutes.

Cyrus, a rookie free-agent from St. Bonaventure, also appeared in one game during preseason. He scored three points in three minutes.
