Actor Jan-Michael Vincent Arrested For Investigation of Drug Possession
AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (AP) _ Actor Jan-Michael Vincent was arrested for investigation of felony drug possession after deputies stopped his wife’s car because its registration had expired and allegedly found amphetamines, authorities said today.
″He was arrested for possession of 15 white amphetamine tablets″ Wednesday night, said Deputy Gabe Ramirez, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman.
″He was booked at Malibu (sheriff’s) station,″ Ramirez said. ″His arrest occurred after a car stop on Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Agoura Hills.″
Vincent, 42, was released after posting $1,000 bail, the deputy said.
″His wife was driving and he was a passenger,″ but his wife wasn’t arrested, said Lt. John Love, of the sheriff’s station in Malibu.
Love declined to specify how the drugs were discovered, but said the Vincents’ car was stopped because it had an expired, 1986 registration.
Vincent was cooperative during the arrest and booking, Love said.
Ramirez said the vehicle wasn’t impounded, he said.
Agoura Hills is located about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Vincent lives nearby in Malibu.
