Police: Wrong-way driver crashed into car; 3 killed
MORAINE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a driver traveling the wrong way on Interstate 75 in Ohio crashed into a car carrying a family of three, killing the two adults and child in that car.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office says 51-year-old Timothy Thompson, 50-year-old Karen Thompson and 10-year-old Tessa Thompson, all of Mason, were killed in the crash around 8 p.m. Sunday in the Dayton suburb of Moraine.
Authorities say the motorist who was driving north in the southbound lanes of I-75 and crashed into the Thompson’s vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries. Moraine police haven’t released that driver’s identity or condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
