Suspect ID’d in double-shooting
Fort Wayne police identified a man Monday they believe shot two people last week at a restaurant on East Creighton Avenue.
Gabriel A. Hicks, 29, is a suspect in the shooting, police said.
He is described as black, 5 foot 9, about 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is known to wear colored contact lenses and glasses. He has tattoos on both arms and on his neck. He should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
Police were called to Link’s Wonderland, 1711 E. Creighton Ave. near South Anthony Boulevard, about 9:15 a.m. Friday and found two men : one inside the business and one outside : with gunshot wounds.
Michael A. Paige Jr., 35, and Frank E. Paige, 28, were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
A motive for the shootings is not clear.
As of Monday afternoon, no charges had been filed against Hicks in Friday’s shooting.
