BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky transportation officials say they are preparing for a major resurfacing project along Interstate 65 in Barren, Edmonson and Warren counties.
A statement from the agency says all lanes of I-65 running in both directions between mile marker 35 and mile marker 44 will be resurfaced. The project is expected to begin on Sept. 4. Officials say there will be lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. when crews are working.
Officials stressed the importance of motorists slowing down as they travel through the area. Crews are expected to finish work on the project by the end of November.
