ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Indiana State and Wichita State were reprimanded by the Missouri Valley Conference Friday for problems that led to altercations between players and fans during an April 24 game at Terre Haute, Ind.

Indiana State was censured for failing to provide adequate security around the Wichita State dugout and for not taking steps to control fan behavior. Wichita State was reprimanded because coaches failed to keep players in the dugout while being provoked by fans.

The game was delayed twice because of trouble between fans and Wichita State players. There was a 50-minute delay in the ninth inning.

Following the game, Wichita State coach Gene Stephenson suspended outfielder Casey Davis for three games for leaving the playing area and confronting fans behind the dugout.
