Scarecrows come to life in 10th annual Festival at Cross Creek Ranch

Hay now! The master-planned community of Cross Creek Ranch is once again hosting it’s yearly scarecrow festival this time with a superheroes theme.

Join hundreds of others at the all-ages free 10th annual Scarecrow Fest in Fulshear on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. to see your favorite superheroes, including Spiderman, Thor and Batman, according to a Cross Creek Ranch news release.

Anyone interested in displaying their own scarecrow is encouraged to register by Oct. 12. First place winner receives $1,000, while second and third place receive $500 and $250, respectively.

The festival will feature a live band, carnival rides, food trucks, face painting and performances by Sky Kings Falconry.

Food trucks include: The Crepe Machine, The Melt Grilled Cheese Truck, Bake Potato Truck, Curbside Sliderz of Katy, Anna’s Greek Gourmet, Friohana Ice, Tugo Kitchen, Mooseum Ice Cream and Mary had a Little Party.

While the festival is free to attend, the carnival wristbands are $10 on pre-sale and $15 at the door.
