Phoenix police: Shots fired at sedan hits sedan carrying 4

November 13, 2018

PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix police say two of four teenagers in a sedan driven by a 14-year-old boy suffered injuries not considered life threatening when one of two people in a passing car shot at the sedan.

Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson says investigators preliminarily believe the shooting that occurred at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday “may be part of an ongoing dispute” between the two vehicles’ occupants.

Police say the sedan’s 14-year-old driver suffered a graze wound to the head and the other occupants were two 16-year-old boys who weren’t injured and an 18-year-old man who suffered a cut on one hand.

Thompson says the sedan went off the roadway and crashed into a parked vehicle after the shooting and that the sedan’s occupants ran away but were located in the vicinity.
