ABORTION-OHIO

COLUMBUS _ With a lame duck veto showdown brewing, Ohio again finds itself on the verge of imposing some of the most far-reaching abortion restrictions in the nation. Republican Gov. John Kasich has already signed 20 abortion-limiting proposals into law in this politically divided state since taking office in 2011, including a so-called 20-week ban that both sides agree is unconstitutional. _ LETHAL DRUGS-RECORDS REQUEST: The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that the state prison system must share more requested records on the acquisition and supply of its lethal-injection drugs.

_ COUNTY JAIL-LAWSUIT: Seven inmates are suing county officials for endangering their health and safety at a Cleveland jail.

_ POLICE OFFICER FOUND DEAD: Authorities say the Cincinnati police officer whose body was found near a popular park died of a gunshot wound that appears to be self-inflicted.

_ UNEMPLOYMENT-OHIO: State officials say Ohio’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was unchanged from October to November.

_ MEDICAL MARIJUANA-TESTING LAB: Ohio has approved the first testing lab for medical marijuana in the state.

_ FATAL CRASH-POLICE CRUISER: A prosecutor says a woman who led police on a high-speed chase and caused a crash ending in another motorist’s death has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Ohio.

_ NUCLEAR PLANT-MICHIGAN: A nuclear power plant near Michigan’s border with Ohio remains shut down after being taken offline earlier this month for repairs.

ST. LOUIS _ Left-handed reliever Andrew Miller has agreed to terms with the St. Louis Cardinals on a two-year deal with a vesting option for 2021.
