PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ The Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday signed two players they released earlier this year, wide receiver Russell Copeland and linebacker DeShawn Fogle.

Copeland signed with the Eagles in June but was released in August after the final preseason game. Before playing for the Eagles, the 26-year-old played in 58 games with the Buffalo Bills, making 83 receptions for 1,228 yards and two touchdowns.

Fogle, 22, signed with the Eagles as a rookie free agent following the 1997 draft. He played exclusively on special teams in the season opener against the New York Giants and was released two days later. He was re-signed to the Eagles' practice squad on Sept. 3.

The Eagles released wide receiver Justin Armour and kicker Lonny Calicchio to make room on the roster.

Armour played in one game and Calicchio served as the kickoff specialist in two games.
