Stone Thrown by Mower Kills Man Passing By in Car

September 15, 1990

MILLERSTOWN, Pa. (AP) _ A tractor mower being used to cut brush threw a four-pound rock through the open window of a passing car, hitting the driver of the car in the head and killing him.

Michael Polski, 71, of Millerstown was struck Friday afternoon, said state police Trooper Richard Geedey. Polski’s car then drifted off the road into a cornfield.

Polski was declared dead at the scene by a Perry County deputy coroner, Geedey said.

No charges have been filed against the person operating the tractor mower, whose name was not released, according to Geedey.
