Elite Total Fitness’ goal is healthy lifestyles
SCOTTSBLUFF — Described as a “comfortable place” where people of all fitness levels can improve their physical well-being, Elite Total Fitness is more than just a gym.
“Your level of fitness doesn’t matter, whether you are a beginner or have experience,” said General Manager Audrey Garcia. “We offer a comfortable, clean place where people can work out. We have something for everyone.”
Elite Total Fitness offers personal training, massage therapy and a variety of different group classes, from yoga to a boot camp class to aerobic dance fitness classes.
They have all the machines as well, from weights to cardio. And the staff offers a kids’ play area Monday through Friday so the children will be supervised while parents or even grandparents work out.
Garcia said no matter what people want to focus on during a particular session, the equipment is available.
“If I want to do some crossfit, the weights are there,” she said. “If I want to do a ton of cardio or high-interval intensity training, there’s an area to do those different kinds of things.”
She said that many of today’s health problems can be remedied just by pursuing a healthy lifestyle.
“It’s about quality of life, so we’re not so much a gym as a fitness facility. It’s a training facility and a wellness facility.”
She said wellness is more than just how a person looks in the mirror or whether they’re the biggest loser in the weight loss challenge. It’s about having a healthier lifestyle.
A healthier lifestyle translates into a better mental attitude. Garcia said that sometimes life throws her a challenge where she can’t change the situation. But with a healthy lifestyle, she can keep a positive attitude that makes her a better mom, a better co-worker and a better overall person.
Elite Fitness Center has been open since July and hosted a grand opening last Thursday. Customer feedback has included a great variety of equipment, a wide variety of classes and a very helpful staff and trainers.
