LITTLE ROCK, Ark. _ Arkansas’ governor and legislative leaders unveil a reworked plan to cut income taxes. Gov. Asa Hutchinson has proposed cutting the top rate, but has had to revise his proposal after finance officials said it would raise taxes for some residents. Details were being released Wednesday. LITTLE ROCK, Ark. _ A former lawmaker who opposed the creation of Arkansas’ health insurance exchange has been hired as the interim director of the state agency that oversees the marketplace. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that one of Nate Bell’s first moves as the head of the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace was to urge members of a legislative committee to delay approving a bill that would fold the agency into the state Department of Insurance. 250 words.
WASHINGTON _ Arkansas-based Tyson Foods is recalling some chicken nuggets after customers said they found pieces of “soft, blue rubber” inside. The U.S. Agriculture Department said the 5-pound bags should be thrown away or returned. The agency says there are no confirmed reports of anyone getting sick from the rubber. The recall is for more than 36,000 pounds of nuggets, which Tyson said were shipped to Arizona, California, Illinois, New Jersey and Utah. 210 words, with photo.
