Weekend best bets: Justin Timberlake, Shen Yun

Get out of the house this weekend with these events.

Justin Timberlake (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Rd., Raleigh) - The singer brings his “Man of the Woods Tour” to Raleigh on Sunday.

Tiffany (The Pour House, 224 S Blount St., Raleigh) - The singer best known for her hits “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “Could Have Been” is back and touring again. She plays The Pour House in downtown Raleigh on Friday night.

Grungefest Holiday Hangover (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - Foo Fighters, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine and Tool tribute bands are all playing during this show Saturday night at The Ritz.

The Mozart Experience with the NC Symphony (Meymandi Concert Hall, 2 East South St., Raleigh) - An impetuous street musician is caught playing the orchestra’s grand piano. Much to her surprise the conductor does not scold her but instead offers her the chance to “be Mozart” for this program about the famous composer. This family-friendly show is Saturday at Meymandi Concert Hall. There will be kid-friendly activities in the lobby one hour before each performance.

Whitney Cummings (Raleigh Improv, 1224 Parkside Main Street, Cary) - This Los Angeles based comedian actor writer and producer will bring her stand-up tour to Raleigh Improv Friday and Saturday nights.

Eyes Up Here Comedy (Neptunes, 14 W Martin Street, Raleigh) - This all-female comedy show Friday night at Neptunes. Admission is $5 cash at the door. Tickets are also available online before the show.

Shen Yun (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 East South Street, Raleigh) - Shen Yun’s will take you on a multi-dimensional, inspiring journey through one of humanity’s greatest treasures —the five millennia of traditional Chinese culture. This show runs Friday through Sunday at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.

3 Kings Day Parade (Page-Walker Art & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary) - This annual parade is at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday in Cary.

Carolina Hurricane All-Star Chef Series (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Rd, Raleigh) - The Carolina Hurricanes are teaming up with Social House Vodka to host a series of dinners featuring area chefs. Friday night’s dinner will include Jacob Boehm of Snap Pea Underground in Raleigh and Michael Lee of M Sushi in Durham. Tickets for the All-Star Chef Series are $135 and include a lower level game ticket. Carolina Hurricanes season ticket members can get tickets to the chef series for $75.

NC Chinese Lantern Festival (Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre has been transformed into a sea of lighted lantern sculptures. This annual festival kicks off Friday and runs through Jan. 13.
