Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce moves to a new office

January 22, 2019

The Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce is starting the new year in a new office north of the Grand Parkway.

The new location at 24624 Interstate 45 is about nine miles north of its original location at 6902 FM 2920.

“We were in an office space that was more of a warehouse space that we had put up a bunch of taped up insulation to try to make it work as an office. It probably didn’t represent us in the way that it should have. It didn’t really fit our needs,” said chamber president Brooks Williams.

The new office contains a kitchen, conference and meetings rooms for members to use.

Williams said he hopes to engage chamber members and attract new ones with the new amenities that will be available to them.

“It makes us accessible. I think we’re in a great location,” he said.

While the new office is located at the edge of the Spring-Klein area, Williams said the office may move to a more centralized location if it becomes available in the future.

The chamber is also revamping its lunch and breakfast networking events by offering them every other month and offering a monthly development program to its members.

“We’re really focusing on our small businesses, our entrepreneurs. We’re focusing on providing value. There is a great deal of training that is available for them to get different trainings around small business development, personnel, whatever it may be,” Williams said.
