Mo. Teen Girl Killed In Gunfire
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ A 15-year-old girl was shot to death over the weekend by a driver who apparently got angry after a traffic accident, police said.
DeAntreia Ashley was shot Saturday evening while sitting in her boyfriend’s car, which had rear-ended a sport-utility vehicle on a city street, police said.
Police said the boyfriend pulled up next to the SUV to discuss the accident, and both drivers got out of their vehicles. After an argument, the driver of the SUV opened fire on the car, said homicide Sgt. Jay Pruetting.
Some of the bullets struck Ashley, who was in the front passenger seat.
The boyfriend, whose identity has not been released, was wounded in the arms and chest. He was hospitalized in serious condition on Monday.
Police on Monday were still looking for the alleged shooter, who fled the scene in his vehicle.
