Marion Township home burglarized while owners away
Authorities are investigating the burglary of a home in the 2700 block of Ridgewood Court Southeast in Marion Township.
A passerby on Wednesday noticed that the front door of the house had been smashed open and knew the owners were out of town, said Capt. Scott Behrns, of the Olmsted Count Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived and, after making sure no one was in the house, contacted a relative who helped with the investigation. Among missing items were a Google home hub worth $150, a laptop computer worth $1,000, and a blank check. Damage to the front door was estimated at $1,200, Behrns said.
The burglary happened between Dec. 25 and Jan. 2.
