AC Milan Borrowing Soccer Players

MILAN, Italy (AP) _ George Weah and Dario Hubner are being borrowed by AC Milan for exhibition games later this month in New Haven, Conn., East Rutherford, N.J., and Los Angeles.
Weah is a former AC Milan star and Hubner had 24 goals this season for Piacenza, tying David Trezeguet of Juventus of Turin for the lead in the Italian first division.
Others borrowed for the three-game tour are Atalanta of Bergamo goalkeeper Massimo Taibi, Bologna forward Lamberto Zauli and Torino midfielder Diego De Ascentis.
AC Milan, which finished fourth in the Italian League at 14-7-13, will be missing several players who are with their national teams preparing for the World Cup. AC Milan’s roster does include Andriy Shevchenko of Ukraine, who had 14 goals this season, and Jose Mari of Spain.
AC Milan, owned by Italian Premier Silvio Berlusoni, plays exhibition games against Ecuador on May 11 at the Yale Bowl, the New York/New Jersey MetroStars on May 16 at Giants Stadium and Mexico on May 19 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
