February 27, 2019

A San Antonio seafood restaurant that has done business in the Stone Oak area since 2012 has closed.

River City Seafood & Grill, located just off Loop 1604, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation on Monday. According to documents filed with the United States Bankruptcy Court, the restaurant cited estimated assets between $0 and $50,000 and liabilities that ranged from $100,001 to $500,000.

A note posted on the front door stated that Feb. 18 was the final day of service, and the restaurant closed “due to circumstances beyond our control.”

River City Seafood & Grill was known for a menu featuring seafood in many styles, as well as a lineup of Cajun-influenced dishes such as boiled crawfish, crawfish fettuccini, eggplant au gratin and jambalaya.
