Alkermes: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
DUBLIN (AP) _ Alkermes PLC (ALKS) on Thursday reported a loss of $42 million in its second quarter.
The Dublin-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 9 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 10 cents per share.
The drugmaker posted revenue of $279.9 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $254.1 million.
Alkermes shares have decreased 22% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 49% in the last 12 months.
