NEW ORLEANS (AP) _ DeWaune Wesley scored 24 points and Jason Wright’s had 21 in leading the University of New Orleans to a 100-76 Sun Belt Conference victory Saturday night against Southwestern Louisiana.

The victory by New Orleans (17-3 overall, 10-2 Sun Belt) was the fifth in a row for the Privateers and their 12th in the last 13 games. UNO also tied its Sun Belt record of 20 consecutive conference victories at home and extended its overall home winning streak to 22 games.

The Ragin’ Cajuns (7-12, 5-6) lost for the fourth straight time.

Eddie Washington added 18 points and Kwan Johnson 11 for UNO, which led 48-31 at halftime and by as many as 29 points in the final four minutes.

Chris Manuel, Reginald Poole and Casey Green scored 17 points apiece for USL, and Conley Verdun and Richard Mauzey added 10 each.

UNO scored 100 points for the first time since a 103-96 Sun Belt overtime victory at South Alabama on Feb. 5, 1995. It was the first time the Privateers scored 100 in regulation since a 114-101 home loss to Southern (Baton Rouge) on Dec. 28, 1987.

USL allowed 100 points for the first time since a 105-85 Sun Belt loss at South Alabama on Jan. 26, 1995.
