Authorities: Philadelphia man shoots, wounds would-be robber
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a Philadelphia man shot and wounded another man who was trying to rob him at gunpoint.
The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the city’s West Oak Lane section.
Authorities say a 22-year-old man armed with a gun tried to rob a 28-year-old man. But the victim pulled out his own gun and shot the suspect, hitting him in the wrist.
The wounded suspect ran to a nearby fast-food restaurant but was arrested there a short time later. He was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.
The victim apparently was not injured in the robbery attempt.
The names of the two men have not been disclosed.
