Woman struck by pontoon boat’s propeller dies
SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) — A Pennsylvania woman has died after being struck by a boat propeller near a Florida beach.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports 22-year-old Margaret Murray died Sunday, a day after the accident near Lido Key Beach.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports Murry was in the water Saturday afternoon when she was injured by the 27-foot pontoon boat. Paramedics responded and took her to a Sarasota hospital, where she later died.
Murray had been attending LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton after graduating from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, this year.
