27 Killed in in Three Towns
Undated (AP) _ MANILA,lando Andaya said Tuesday.
Lt. Gen. Fidel V. Ramos, the acting armed forces chief, ordered an investigation of the killings in the towns of Ragay, Lupi and Pasacao in Camarines Sur province, 140 miles southeast of Manila.
Andaya, a native of Ragay, said 14 other people were wounded in the attacks, which occurred around midnight last Saturday, when Roman Catholics were observing an Easter eve vigil.
Several of those killed were women and children, Andaya told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.
Andaya said he did not know the motive for the killings.
A military spokesman said Ramos has ordered the military commander in the region to investigate the killings and submit a report immediately.
