Marshall hooks students up with job openings
HUNTINGTON — The Marshall University community met with recruiters from more than 90 employers Tuesday during the Career Center’s annual Spring Career Expo in the Memorial Student Center.
The expo was open to all Marshall students, faculty and alumni. Recruiters shared information on part-time, full-time and internship positions within the areas of business, IT/computer science, health care, education, corrections and others.
Cris McDavid, director of the Office of Career Education, encouraged all students, even if they weren’t actively looking for a job, to attend to practice interview skills.
The office also assisted students with building a professional resume, tips on talking to recruiters and networking effectively, and how to introduce themselves to recruiters using their “elevator speech” or “30-second commercial.”
