Wedding money stolen

Kevin Jutras, of Derry, New Hampshire, reported Saturday that a wedding card with $100 inside was stolen from his room at the Holiday Inn Express along Lewis Drive, according to Somerset Borough police.

Traffic light damaged

Sometime after 2 a.m. Thursday, the temporary traffic light on North Center Avenue, between Wendy’s and Ruby Tuesday, ceased to function, according to Somerset Borough police. It was later discovered that electrical control components vital to the operation of the system had been damaged, presumably by a vehicle. Police are investigating.

Crash in Somerset

Somerset Borough police investigated a traffic accident Monday morning in the 100 block of South Rosina Avenue.

Police said a box truck driven by Jennifer Dowling, 48, of South Carolina, turned into the path of a pickup truck driven by Sheldon Savage, 45, of West Virginia. Savage’s pickup truck was disabled. No injuries were reported.
