Crash victims were from North Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama
LUMBERTON, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol has released the names of three people killed in a five-vehicle crash Thanksgiving Day.
Highway Patrol Capt. Johnny Poulos said Friday they were 48-year-old Shelley E. Rose of Asheville, North Carolina; 23-year-old Jada J. Bright of Picayune, Mississippi; and 45-year-old Evans Vincent of Albertville, Alabama.
Poulos says a 2018 Dodge Caravan driven by Rose was traveling north on a southbound lane of Interstate 59 when it hit a 2007 Saturn Ion driven by Bright. The Dodge then hit a southbound 2003 Nissan Altima driven by Vincent.
A southbound 2011 Honda CR-V hit the Saturn and rolled over. A southbound 2007 Toyota Tundra drove through the crash scene and hit debris.
Rose, Bright, and Vincent died at the scene. Several people in the other vehicles were hurt.
