January 10, 2019

KINGMAN — Kingman police are looking for suspects who reportedly fired gunshots at an industrial gravel pit in east Kingman.

Around 7 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the gravel pit in the 4600 block of East Airway Avenue after a security officer reported suspects in a white Chevrolet crew cab truck fired off several rounds from a gun in the direction of the security officer, deputy police chief Rusty Cooper said

This truck sped off into the desert and was last seen by witnesses on westbound Interstate 40 at D.W. Ranch Road. KPD was assisted by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, state highway patrol officers and an Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter, Cooper said.

The suspect is described as a white male adult, thin build, about 5-foot-6, wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and would have been a passenger in the truck. No one was injured in the incident.

Anyone with information should contact KPD by calling 928-753-2191, or report anonymously to Mohave Silent Witness by calling 928-753-1234, or report tips online by going to www.kingmanpolice.com and clicking on “Give A Tip.”
