Portneuf Health Partners makes large donation to Bannock Development
POCATELLO — Portneuf Health Partners has donated $20,000 to Bannock Development Corp. to help the local economic development entity attract new jobs, develop talent and support existing employers.
A check presentation ceremony was hosted Wednesday afternoon.
Bannock Development assisted with building Portneuf Medical Center from a county owned hospital in 2011, according to a press release.
“Supporting Bannock Development is all about bringing great jobs to our community and strengthening existing companies with their expansions,” Shaun Menchaca, CEO of Portneuf Health Trust, which is affiliated with PMC, said in the press release. “Everything Bannock Development does directly impacts local businesses and businesses as a whole throughout the Gate City.”
The Portneuf Health Trust is devoted to improving and enhancing the health of Southeast Idaho.
Brandon Lance, chairman of Bannock Development, said Portneuf Health Partners is crucial in helping to attract new clinics and good jobs and is the largest private employer in the area.
“Portneuf Health Partners is our community’s leading health care system, with specialized facilities for care in trauma, cardiac, women’s health and cancer fields,” Lance said in the press release.
